Each two-day summit (8:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. each day) will inspire preschool and public school educators as they plan ways to support the transitional changes children and families face when moving from preschool to kindergarten.
“Integrating Promising Practices to Support Early Literacy and Successful Transitions PreK-K” (Literacy focused)

• Times – 8:30 am to 1:15 pm
• Different keynotes per day
• 2 sessions per day- morning session has 4 breakout rooms specific topics and the afternoon session has 4 other breakout rooms with different topics than in the morning. Some sessions/breakout rooms will repeat for Day 2, but not all.

Emergent Literacy from Preschool to Kindergarten: The Parents’ Perspective
This session will provide participants with practical strategies and tips on how to engage preschool parents in supporting continuous literacy development. Educators will also benefit from strategies to forge partnerships with parents that foster a love of reading in home and school.
