Grade-Level Reading Campaign

2023/2024 FAST Results Grades 3-10th

In Volusia County, 80% of VPK children are reading at benchmark.

According to data from the 2023-24 FAST (Florida Assessment of Student Thinking), the state of Florida saw an overall 4% increase in grade-level reading scores from the previous year.

Students are assessed up to three times per year: PM1, PM2, & PM3.

81% of VPK children enrolled in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library were reading at benchmark by PM3.

This shows a 182% increase from PM1 assessment.
