Complete this form to register your child. Please note at this time the program is not offered in Deltona.
Send your completed form to literacy@elcfv.org or mail it to 125 Executive Circle, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
FAQs
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mails out books to almost two million children a month. We have to place our book orders a month in advance to do this. Depending on when you register your child, it may take 8 – 12 weeks for the first book to arrive. After that, the books will arrive every month.
If you provided an email address with your registration, you will be notified via email when the registration is approved or entered into our system. If you do not have an email address, you will need to email us to find out more information, but it does take 8-12 weeks for books to start arriving after approval.
The two most common reasons this happens are:
- You updated the address for your child’s record after the Dollywood Foundation pulled the report of all children receiving a book that month. In this case, you will miss a book but you should receive the following month’s book.
- There may have been a miscommunication between the post office and the Imagination Library mail system. Please check your account to be sure we have your current address.
You can log into your parent account. If you need assistance accessing your account, please email literacy@elcfv.org

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to participate in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. [My daughter] gets so excited every time a book comes in the mail. It is always a surprise. It also does not matter what we are doing, we have to sit down and read it right away. When asked which is her favorite, she grabs all of them. So truly from the bottom of my heart thank you for giving her the joy of reading.

I have really enjoyed the books we have received so far. They have really helped expand my child's knowledge of the world we live in. I'm glad you provide books because most of these I've never heard of and I feel myself alone would not have been able to provide her with everything you have. I'm really grateful for this program.

This is an amazing program that I'm so honored that we have in Volusia County. A big thank you to all the donors who make this possible.

My son absolutely loves reading, loves books and gets excited to get his monthly book that's addressed to him. He always looks for his name on the mailing label. This is absolutely wonderful program and I hope more and more people can be blessed by it.

My daughter gets so excited when a new book arrives! It's like a delivery from Santa, we immediately open it and begin reading. That book becomes her new favorite until the next month. I love watching her get her books out and look at pictures. I also love when she picks her book and brings it to me to read.
-Edgewater
[My daughter] loves getting her book each month from the mailbox and is excited to read it immediately. I love having new books to engage her in. It’s such a great bonding experience and she’s learning so much.

Amazing program. Love the quality of books. They help my child learn about other cultures as well as stories about character development.

I appreciate this program so much. My daughter is verbally advanced and I have trouble keeping enough books in the house to keep her occupied. She LOVES checking the mail and her favorite days are the ones when we get our book from Dolly!

This program is amazing, [we] have enjoyed all the books and my child loves the pictures. He loves carrying them around for others to read. He even wants to take them to daycare. This is a fabulous program for everyone.
