Open Positions

The Early Learning Coalition of Flagler and Volusia has an opening for a Compliance Specialist. The person who fills this position must be passionate about young children and understand that early childhood education is a valuable part of lifelong learning. The Compliance Specialist will embrace our school-readiness mission and work toward our goal of providing a quality education to all children in the communities we serve.

As a Compliance Specialist you will perform site visits, monitor a state-wide portal, provide technical assistance, and inform providers of non-compliance with contract if needed. See job description here for further information.

Hiring pay range for the position is $13.46-14.78. An AA degree is required as well as two years experience in early childhood education and two years in customer service. Local travel required and reimbursed. Occasional overnight travel is also required. Must have and pass drug and background screen performed before hire and upon request. We use E-verify to confirm work status. EEOE.

The professional in this position promotes inclusion of all children in quality early learning programs by working directly with educators.

The Inclusion Specialist will invest time building relationships, providing assistance and coaching to early childhood educators, and sharing resources that increase the quality of early learning programs and their capacity to support optimal development of all children.

As an Inclusion Specialist, you will address the challenges that parents and educators face as they work together to meet the specific needs of individual children. You will use multiple formats to share information and best practices to create an inclusive environment for all children.

Candidates are required to have a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Counseling or related field from an accredited institution and two (2) years’ experience with screening, observation and/or assessment along with two (2) years’ experience in an inclusive program supporting individuals and their families.

The Quality Specialist works with childcare providers throughout Flagler and Volusia Counties and supports their quest to increase the quality of care in their centers. They provide coaching and training in proven practices and provide technical support to the teachers and directors so that the children in their care will receive the highest quality care and education and preparing them for kindergarten.

We are currently seeking a highly-skilled Senior Accountant with extensive experience in governmental or Non-Profit accounting. Reporting to the Director of Financial Services and in alignment with agency-adopted mission and core values, this professional supports day-to-day accounting tasks and activities to ensure agency compliance. This person must be able to prepare accurate reporting, analyze data, understand Federal and State regulations, and provide excellent customer service.

Administrative Department

The administrative team works to keep the organization performing at its best. This team keeps us moving forward and guides decisions with the support of the Board of Directors for the overall success of the agency. 

Community Partnerships

Provides outreach to the community about ELCFV services, fundraises through planning and facilitating of events, coordinates volunteers, and creates all marketing materials. 

Family Services

Family Services offers programs that help strengthen families. These services range from discounted child care to community resources, parenting and child development information and goal planning. 

Financial Services Department

Finance

The finance team is responsible for purchasing, receipts and disbursements, budget preparation, managing annual audits, and financial reporting.

Compliance

Works with contracted child care providers to monitor compliance and process payments for School Readiness and Voluntary Prekindergarten programs.

Provider Services 

Quality and Inclusion

Works with educators and families to promote inclusion of children in early education programs. Raises the delivery of
quality services, as well as initiatives and activities.
