This opportunity is perfect for those looking for short or long-term administrative projects in an office setting. Tasks may include stickering books, cutting, putting together resource bags, laminating, preparing training materials, or assisting with a designated project.
Visit a local classroom and read to children through initiatives such as Babies Rock, Read for the Record, Josh the Otter, or Community Reader!
Host a Bucket of Books
If you’re a business or an organization, consider being a location for a Bucket of Books! This program allows young children to read or look at books while their family visits a local business. This is one way that businesses can easily support early literacy!
Read Along with the Coalition
Support our mission to promote the importance of reading to children as early as possible. Participate in one of our literacy initiatives as a volunteer reader for a local child care center or school.
Support special events & projects by joining a committee or working with staff to plan, develop, and/or attend events such as the annual Duck Race or the Little Literacy Heroes Storybook Village.
Create a short video reading a
children’s book to be shared
on our YouTube page.
We will give you a list of approved books to
choose from and even help you record it!
