Let’s talk about Autism, Developmental Disabilities, and Learning Disabilities. Learn the characteristics and signs and quick strategies for working with each population. We will also discuss the differences between an educational exceptionality and a medical diagnosis. Effective communication between teachers and parents is paramount to a child’s development. Learn ways to exercise the utmost care and consideration when broaching sensitive subjects with parents. We will conclude with some great resources offered in our community.
June 8th location: First Baptist Church DeLand 725 N. Woodland Blvd DeLand, Fl 32720. Doors open at 8:55am.
